“Every day I’m reminded how truly amazing our bodies are”
“Every day I’m reminded how truly amazing our bodies are, but how little we fully understand. I’m always grateful to share the amazing journeys with my clients and working with you is always a privilege.”
I initially trained in Swedish massage in 2012, and then went on to complete my diploma in Remedial and Sports massage with the Western School of Massage in 2013.
As a previous keen runner myself, I became interested in remedial massage therapy after my own training journey. When niggles almost prevented me from getting to the start line of a marathon it was a massage therapist who saved me and taught me the importance of understanding and listening to my body. I came to appreciate that massage was a fundamental part of prehab (self care to avoid injury).
Early in my massage career it was my own pregnancy, c-section birth and postnatal experience then inspired me to apply what I had learnt remedially to these areas, and my business naturally expanded into this direction, nurturing and treating pre and postnatal mums.
As the years have progressed I’ve enjoyed building and enhancing my expertise to better meet the needs of all my clients.
Whilst initially focusing on c-section recovery (and still remains a big passion of mine), I realised how invaluable scar work massage can be, and branched out treating a variety of scars including post oncology treatment. Training in visceral manipulation gave me essential additional skills in assessment and treatment helping a huge variety of my clients.
Nowadays my treatments are tailored for anyone who walks through my treatment room door, whether you are a new parent, pregnant, training for an event, struggling with a desk based life, menopausal, or simply need a reset.
Every day I’m reminded how truly amazing our bodies are, but how little we fully understand. I’m always grateful to share the amazing journeys with my clients and working with you is always a privilege.
Although no longer a runner, I like to stay reasonably active, enjoying the outdoors and spending time with my family. When I get a few hours to myself I love the self absorption of painting (mainly landscapes), and you may even spot my art work on my treatment room walls.
